Hello good peeps. I own a 2021 blue jeep 392, hydro blue. WOW !! I love it, but, I love it even more with the baddest engine in the world, lol, my 392. Question : Does any one know the bes
t, and cheapest way to remove the speed limiter. NO, NO< I am not looking for a race vehicle, and, I have addressed the tire issue. I only want to break the 99 mph threshold, when on the parkway for a longer then i have to be. And, no, I will not keep up a high speed for more then a mile at most. I will always be on a straight long road, with absolutely zero cars in front of me, or behind me. I surely do not want any tire issues. Thanks for any/all help, so far you guys are great !! this must the wrangler 392 i was wondering if they set a speed limiter, thing must be an animal with that engine. I would almost think 99 would be good enough (scary?) but it must get there quick. maybe a tazer setting? i really have no idea.

Call Pettys Garage. They build / mod the Rubitrucks Jeeps. I bet they could answer your questions. I used them for my motor and tune. Great folks.

Hi,

It's a Jeep thing, my 22 Rubicon 3.6 manual transmission is governed to 97mph, talk to a tuner and they can change the threshold, but kiss goodbye to your warranty.

One reason for it they all have a high center of gravity and small wheelbase in comparison to other vehicles so 99mph on a turn might induce a rollover, going through s-turns at 50mph you can really feel the body sway, so can imagine what would happen going a bit faster...

2 doors must be MUCH different. I love speed. But i cant imagine driving my 2 door over a 100. It must feel like a challenger at 200. a 392 in one has to be an animal. What id like to see is jeep make a 2 door with a 5.7. It would have lots of grunt and probably get better then the 17mpg i get in my 6. 4 doors dont interest me my. I drive my jeep in the woods and wouldnt want anything bigger. Matter of fact the old tjs were even better for what i use one for. The jks are much better on the road but ive got a car and truck for most of that and the longest trip in the jeep is to the nearest larger town a couple times a year and thats only 50 miles away and is all two lane. For the most part i use mine to put in the woods. If i need something faster for that i take my turbo rzr. Now that thing is a hoot to drive.
