keep it stock!! you're biggest issue is TRACTION with what you already have!

Leave it stock. Follow the break in procedure. Just drive it with the black key until 500 miles. After the break in, explore the power incrementally. If you just slap the gas to the floor it will spin the crap out of the tires, hit the rev limiter and then kill power for a second to protect itself. Learn to roll into the gas. Think Nascar Monster Energy Cup car. Several have mentioned traction and tires. That's the key with theses cars.

If you do decide to mod it, I would wait at least 3,000-5,000 miles. Many of us, self included, have had some issues. If you go and get a P1400 code, all of those "issues" are now expensive. At least let the car break in before you mod it.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with the others. In my opinion, it really depends on your personal situation and what you plan to do with the car. If it is your daily, no way I would mod it and void the warranty. If it is more of a toy, and you want to make it bigger/badder/faster, then what is your tolerance for voiding the warranty? If you are ok with losing the warranty, then I say go for it!

For me, my whole goal was 1000hp, and that was LONG before I decided on a Hellcat. I looked at older hot rods and all of the popular new ones. I just fell in love with the body lines of the Hellcat and everything else it had to offer. The day I ordered my Super Stock there was NO QUESTION it was getting some fairly major mods as soon as I got it. Within a week of ordering I paid the deposit and set a date with OST.

I realize most will disagree, but this is what I want to do with MY car. Maybe mods are right for you? It’s great to get opinions here, but in the end, it’s your car, do what you want!

anybody know?

I got my NMCA/NMRA stuff by mail, after I requested, but not my NHRA stuff yet.

If I were to buy a new car and mod it, I would start with something inexpensive, maybe a HCWB, then go nuts. That way I wouldn’t have spent the extra $15k on parts I’m just going to remove. If (maybe when) I buy a SS, I would not do any warranty voiding mods. But if I won Powerball, that would be another story…
