I just got a 2015 hellcat with 21,000 miles. An oil change is coming up and I wanted to change other fluids as well. What products are the best? And how much of each do I need? The fuel pump on this car has been replaced for code P062a. I have read a lot about it and the seller told me it has came up once since he replaced it. I do have a full warranty. Lastly, are there cheaper brake/rotor options? I am okay with paying for the oem ones but I would rather save some money.

As far as oil goes your car initially took 6 qts but roughly two yrs later Dodge began recommending 7. As a matter of fact if you order a new dipstick for your car it will be for 7 qts now. I wouldn't be surprised if you already have the newer dipstick. A lot of us who had early Hellcats made the switch, although you don't have to. It's a recommendation.

I have to run, but I'll give you the short version. Are you a hedge fund manager or regular guy? If a regular guy, one word; owner's manual........... If you want to burn a lot of money, listen to the hedge fund managers. 😁

My car has just over 20k miles, how often do these need to be changed?
Depending on how hard you drive the thing, i’d say every 3k-5k miles should be enough. Check the oil life percentage in the info section of the cluster. Once it gets below 30%, definitely have it changed. Unfortunately the mileage interval & oil life calculated by the computer aka “duty cycle” do not go hand in hand.

Lmao Im gonna loose my patience searching through that😅
You're driving a very, very expensive car to maintain and repair. You're going to have to become a walking Hellcat wiki or just throw money out the window every time you drive it. #facts

Read the manual. Seriously.

  • Oil Change interval is 6mo/6k miles using the 0-40w Pennzoil Ultra Platinum oil.
  • 7-qt dipstick part number is: 53010823AC - Genuine Mopar Indicator-Engine Oil Level (moparpartsgiant.com) Part number is stamped in the blade of the diptstick; you can check the P/N on the one you currently have.
  • xcesiv posted about rear diff lube part numbers to use above.
  • It you have the A8 Trans, fluid is lifetime. If you change, use the dealer fluid. There is a specific procedure to replace trans fluid at a specific temp.... and it's not cheap.
  • You mention rotors... might help to post pictures of your current rotors, front and rear, to see if you need rotors. Any pedal pulsation or steering wheel shimmy during braking?? Depending on what you are open to, many here installed Power Stop Z26 Carbon Ceramic Brake Pads on all four corners to stop dusting on the wheels.
  • Always torque lug nuts to 111 Ft.Lbs. with a proper torque wrench; not an impact.
  • Maintenance Schedule Attached.

If I remember correctly, Centric makes a single piece rotor option that’s very affordable. No need to run 2 piece rotors if you’re not pulling heavy track duty. Check rockauto for options there. Go with factory fluids if possible, pennzoil ultra platinum 0w40. I get it off Amazon.

For the pads, I installed these and love them! They’re quiet, fairly priced, and drastically reduces brake dust.

I would disagree with that. The main benefit of two-piece rotors is that they don't warp easily. People warp their rotors driving regular cars on regular roads all the time, and HC is a heavy vehicle. There are decently priced aftermarket two-piece rotors out there, check them out.

Denise,

Your car has 21K Miles... any idea if the tires are original? How about pictures of each tire tread (full tread) noting the installed position on the car to see how they are wearing and to see if the car needs an alignment.

How about tire balance, smooth rolling down the road at highway speeds??

it’s the second set of tires on the car. they were put on at 13k miles. no wabble, everything is very smooth. tires have a ton of tread left. they are also pretty even all around tread wise. the only thing that isn’t smooth is turning at a low speed i think it’s the diff fluid.

how long should the factory rotors last? the car has not been driven hard at all since it was bought off the lot when it was new. there is proof of all of this too. it has the stock brakes and i also have pictures of the original tires before they were replaced. they were only replaced bc they were old and hardening rather than being worn out with no tread. i did just get it so i have been driving kinda hard. brakes have never been swapped but have 40% life left. should i start looking into new rotors along with brake pads? or just brake pads?
