Guys, I just picked up my Charger hellcat, and it is AMAZING. One problem is that there is no spare tire! Is there supposed to be? Doesn't it come with one?

at least on the challenger, in the trunk under the subwoofer, there is a device that injects goop into the tire, run it at 50 mph and it's supposed to seal the leak. hey it was either the subwoofers or a spare....there is a video that shows you how to do it, but I hope we never have to.

None of the SRT vehicles I've seen come with a tire. Just the pump. Had it on my 2010 and I have it now in my Hellcat.

Should be run flat tires no? And yes, they dont come with a spare just the pump in case you're low.

There's no spare on SRTs and never has been because those little steel donut spare wheels won't fit over the Brembos.

Nope, no spare and no jack or tire iron either. Instead you should have a can of "fix-a-flat" and a little air pump.

Pretty much the same for most new vehicles. The weight of tire and wheel with jack et al lowers MPG.....drop this stuff from all and CAFE improves.

That's why you get roadside and opt for the wheel coverage.

And NEVER use the words "I hit". Always be like "I have no idea how my rim has a huge crack in it and the tire blew out"

lol, no. No new cars come with spare tires anymore. There should be a compressor in there though, with fix a flat.

My '14 Jeep SRT has spare

No spare in 392s or Hellcats. No jack, no tire iron. Just a pump and fix-a-flat goop. Tires are also NOT run-flats. Trust me, you'd know if they were... the ride would be MUCH harsher due to the extremely stiff sidewalls. Tire techs also HATE removing or installing run-flats due to the sidewalls (my brother is a Service Manager at a local tire shop chain).

My '14 Jeep SRT has spare

Same with my '14 Wrangler.

Really though, 90% of cars made in the last 2-3 years won't have a spare. BMW quit some time ago, my '12 Mustang GT didn't have one and I assume all performance-oriented cars won't have them either. Welcome to the new age.

I agree with getting Roadside Assistance because of this. Sucks but it is what it is.

Better make sure you have towing on your insurance,, and make sure it's a flat bed,,I just upped my insurance today...
