Currently own a 2019 black challenger Redeye. Satin black roof, hood, and trunk. Highly considering trading it in for a TRX. Just more usable imo. I really think it’d be a mistake and I’ll miss the car, but I’m curious on y’all’s thoughts.

Would you trade in or no?

Funny how the grass is soooooo green over that fence...I keep flip flopping too. One day it's "man I'd love a TRX - wonder how badly I'd miss my RE" and the next it's "I need a SS" lol.
I have no advice, I actually need advice lol.

Skip over both and go straight for the Super Stock!

Sell off the WBRE, and then buy a used HC and a used TRX. :D

If get both is not an option..... the fast truck would be fun, but not as much fun as a fast car.
The car has a lower center of gravity too, pretty nice in some situations.

It is a interesting question in definitely a multi-faceted answer.
I have a trackhawk and a Rubicon 4XE.
And open till a few months ago I have always had a pickup truck, I sold my Denali 2500HD and actually placed a order for a TRX. In the 3 months while I was waiting for the TRX to arrive, I realized I really did not need a pickup truck after all. Then due to a software glitch during the time I ordered my TRX the truck came missing several key options, so I declined receiving the truck. My salesman completely understood man of course the truck was sold to somebody else within 24 hours.
So instead of purchasing a TRX truck, I got a Redeye. I got it for Christmas so it's only been a couple of months but so far I can say I have been very happy with my decision.
So I think what it comes down to for anybody in this situation is the question, do I need a truck? if the answer is yes you might as well get the best damn truck made which is the TRX if you don't need a truck maybe the red eye is the way to go.
Also related to this, occasionally I will drive the trackhawk which is my wife's car and although from a dig it is hard to beat but once you're at a speed where traction is little longer an issue, the redeye will make the trackhawk seem kind of sluggish.

No one needs a truck until you need a truck ! ha but seriously, Used TRX are going for 82k, if you sold your REWB you might get 85k, used 2016 HCS with low miles are 65k +++ so you'd still have 2 massive loans.
I bought my 2016 HC low miles (27k) last year for under $50K. They are out there if you look for them.
So he buys the used HC with $50K and still has $35K for down payment on the TRX. Only one mid size loan.

I’m thrilled to be still driving my ’01 F150 Lariat since new. No truck payments for 18 years is pretty easy to get used to. Does everything I need in a truck.
I hear ya brother! My 2004 F150 is runnin' strong!
Still looks ok, and like you, no payments.

Pretty easy to answer. Do you need a truck or not?
This right here.
If you need a truck just to go off road maybe put some stuff in the bed the TRX is the truck. If you got to pull a big trailer like an RV or big boat that's maybe when a diesel might come in handy.

I've been thinking about swapping my Charger Redeye for a TRX. Living in Illinois I miss out on driving the car in the winter months. 7 months of driving and a tight fit when the family is in the charger makes me think the TRX would be a good fit. Plus the utility and practicality of a truck make it a easy decision. And I can drive it year round.

That power in a pickup just doesn’t interest me as far as a personal daily driver type truck. I’ve got a ‘21 Gladiator Mojave that I love. Adequate power and the top and doors come off. Hard to beat. Save the crazy power fun stuff for the Hellcat, a chassis much better suited to such power, in my opinion.

I guess it depends on your situation. The gladiator is super cool but way too small for my size and needs. And the top rattles like crazy in the winter.
