when i picked up, i didnt pay atention because of tire shine. but i dont think a new vehicle should have such tire.. thoughts?

Black is beautiful!! I've only had my black charger since Tuesday and it's everything I'd hoped it would be.

That's sucks about the tires. I'm sure your dealer will take care of it if you bring to their attention so quickly after delivery.

I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer messed it up or that it happened during loading/unloading with delivery. If the tire is defective and didn't get caught in QA they should still take care of it. My dealer warranties the tires for 3 years against side wall and road hazard punctures. They'll probably last me 3-6 months if I'm lucky.

I had my dealer skip the "dealer prep" cleaning and tire shine, etc so my rims had the "peel here" stickers on them and chalk lettering marks from the factory. My windows had the chalk marks for alignment, rear driver mini window had the letter "S" on it. Wonder what that means. The seats were also still wrapped in plastic.

Let's see a pic of the tire

Looks pretty minor. I probably would not make a big deal out of it. I didn't even see it on the first few pics until the real close-up image. It looks like someone pushed their fingernail into it. I see your frustration however paying 70K+ for a car and want it to be perfect.

Can't tell from pictures how deep those go, so I don't know if they are really just surface scratches or actual deep cuts. If it's just at the surface, then I wouldn't even worry about it. If those are actual cuts, going like 1/8th inch or more down into the tire, then it may be a concern!

I had the same small gashes for half my outer right front tire as well when I picked it up and discovered it later. They think the transport guys did it

if you feel it could be dangerous id get them replaced....from the pics it looks shallow and probably just minor cosmetic stuff.....depending on the depth of the marks id consider letting it go....or get some $$ towards the next set

Congrats on the car.

That tire damage looks like it was rubbed (transport like HellcatdotClub said). From the pics I wouldn't worry about it.

Definitely ask your dealer to see if they feel it is safe. Best case they give you a tire. Worst case they don't.

Just looking at it my opinion is it's no big deal. If it bothers you and they won't replace it then buy a new tire. $500ish is better than a blowout and worrying about it! Good luck. Hope the dealer treats you right.

The all season Pirelli tires I bought from Tire Rack and had shipped in have some places like that on them - and they were never on a car. I think it is molding defects in the surface on the ones I bought.

That's ridiculous that they left a man hole sticking up that high. Around here the roads suck but they usually would hand tamp a rim of asphalt around that so if somebody did hit it it won't be so severe.

In addition to a new tire and wheel. If it were my car I'd inspect the suspension closely and get the front end aligned.

That blows!!!
