I go into office every day M-F for actual work, but I also go in on Saturday/Sunday to complete work projects or just to study for my Cybersecurity classes. On weekends, I like to take my Hellcat but since my cubicle sits back 20 feet from the windows and the partitions are 5 feet high, I can't easily see my car when I'm at my desk without getting up and walking to the window.. Every time I hear another vehicle rolling through the parking lot, I get up to make sure it isn't a tow truck or flatbed coming in for a hook and go theft. (I have a suspicious mind, but since I'm come in every weekend, I figure someone might notice my pattern).
I bought an Arebi WiFi hotspot surveillance camera (nanny cam) that connects to my phone. I place the camera on top of a fuse box along the glass facing the parking lot and connect to the device. Output is real-time and I have the option to record using my phone's memory card or inserting a mini-SD card into the camera. As you can see from the screenshots, a white coupe pulled into the parking lot after I set up my camera. Effective range using the hotspot is about 70 feet (camera to phone) but there is a way to increase the range using a second phone. I sent an email to the manufacturer asking for the specific procedure.
