I do like the box, but it says remote start will still function???? A new theft key made would still let it start?

There is now an intrusion sensor to detect movement within the interior, previously you could get in via the sunroof and as long as you didn't open the door, the alarm never went off. Not the case any more. The module also can detect glass breakage or inclination if someone tries to flatbed it.

Then there's the enhanced valet mode which limits horsepower to about 3 hp to help prevent the vehicle from being driven away. Some 2022 cars have it and some do not. The Dodge plan was to offer this as an update to 2021 and older but this was canceled some months back so not sure what the status is now.

The RF hub lockdown which prevents duplicate keys from being made, including at your dealer, is optional and the dealer will do it free of charge at your request at delivery.

They are supposed to be rolling out the security update with the newer vehicles first. I had my 2021 Challenger RE updated back in May, Check with your dealer to see if it's available for your vehicle.

RF HUB Security Update. It adds a valet mode with a four digit code you enter that limits the horsepower along with an update that prevents a key fob from being cloned or created thru the OBD port.

I personally haven’t had any issues. My car is also garaged and on the rare occasion it’s outside overnight it’s just added protection IMO

Mine is always garaged. It’s also has a gps too…

GPS (if they don’t locate and disable) is great a great tool used to locate the vehicle after it’s stolen. My focus is on keeping them from getting it in the first place.

I’m with you on prevention. It’s hidden and there is no indication that’s it’s there.

What’s the security function?

I just had the dealer complete the RF HUB lockdown of my key fobs at no charge..
Also i ordered the Carcatcreations kill switch

I think for the time being I’m going to hold off on the hub lockout… maybe dodge will come up with a better idea than that. I already have security anyways. I own a m6 lol most can’t drive it anyways.

I believe it also adds sensors to the rear windows on the Charger which didn't have them before, I know they were rolling it out then stopped, never sure what the issues was.
