$1,000,000+ agreement related to their KIA dealership, regarding hidden fees and the sleazy double destination charge also came up.

I bought my 2019 Hellcat from Koons, and my 2022 redeye from Dan Cummins.
No comparison. I was not treated well at Koons…I did NOT deal with Craig, sadly, and after my experiences, the above findings seem about right. I left appropriate feedback with Dodge and gave Dan Cummins a try. Best experience of car buying I have ever had.

I knew exactly what I paying when I bought our Hellcat from Koons. If you read the fine print it clearly spells out the frt is added to the wow price. Even with the $899.00 processing fee Koon's price on my Hellcat was much better than any of the other dealers were willing to do.

Not to say that Koons specifically (in this case) and dealerships in general, don't engage in shady business practices. They certainly do. Everything from being exceptionally vague to outright lying. But I'd be willing to wager that the average credit score of a Kia buyer is somewhere in the upper 500's to low 600's. You lose a lot of negotiating power when you are in that position. You also tend not to comprehend figures well, because if you did have an understanding of money, finances, personal responsibility, etc., you probably wouldn't be in that position in the first place.
As someone who booked thousands of car deals to distressed buyers, I can assure you that there is more than one side to this story.

All these car dealerships are pushing themselves right out of the business with underhanded tactics and hidden fees. I once had to pay a ridiculous destination charge for a vehicle that was built right across the street from the dealership. these ridiculous upcharges over SRP sticker price is really bad. they say it's a "Suggested Retail Price" and don't have to follow any set of pricing rules. they can get away with this crap now because of the vehicle shortages but this won't last forever. They tried to get me $5K over sticker on a hot selling vehicle years ago and I wouldn't bite. A year later they couldn't give them away because nobody wanted them!

Ouch. My daily is a 22 Forte GT. I dont look at a KIA driver and neccesarily think they can't manage credit.
I, for one, would be an outlier to your average.

So I googled this an amazingly they do keep track of such things.

This was for 2020 but anyway...

Porsche buyers have the highest credit scores overtaking Tesla.

The lowest? KIA does indeed have the lowest average score clocking in at 654.

This is absolutely correct. It's amazing the way salesman can throw around numbers (i.e the 4 square method) and get outrageous amount of money from people.

In the past yes, but kia and Hyundai have changed/are charging their image.

I know many people making 6 and 7 figures a year driving tellurides, carnivals, genesis vehicles, etc etc

Honestly from an aesthetic standpoint kia/hyundai(genesis) are sh*tting on their Japanese competitors. I would rather drive a stinger than almost every car honda/acura and nissan/inifiti offer, and pretty much every car toyota/lexus offer aside from the is500, lc500, etc etc

They are changing their image, while they still don't drive like performance/sporty cars (minus the stinger) they have made giant leaps, adding new tech, better styling and improvements on reliability have gone a long way for kia/hyndai

Hmmmm I don’t agree with Buick. EVERY new Buick deal was upper 700’s to mid 800’s I ever did. They were higher than Cadillac. You know the people who should be driving Cadillac were the Buick customers and some Cadillac customers should be driving Kia’s.

Agreed. Most Buick buyers have historically been old lol. Decent credit.
