Based on what information?
Most major publications fully expect Hellcats to be available through the 2022 calendar year. Speculation exists that the planned 2023 refresh will not happen, and instead, the last of the Hellcats will bow out. Thus, if industry analysts are correct (and Dodge has done nothing to dispel these rumors from sites such as Car and Driver, Road&Track, and others), then the last Hellcats will be made in 2022 and will dry up as 2023 models midway through the calendar year 2023.

But, it also depends on the political situation. The only reason we even have Hellcats right now was because Trump eased the CAFE standards. Dodge was in danger of losing all of their V8s under Obama's EPA. It's primarily Biden's fault that caused the Durango Hellcat to be a 1-year model, as it does not meet the new 2022 emissions standards that will affect 2022 models. So, exactly how long the Hellcats remain in production lies largely on government regulatory efforts, as they're all precariously close to the limit as-is. Any tightening of those will result in cancellation.

That being said, I fully expect prices to increase. They're already up substantially over what I paid in 2020 for my new one. The MSRP model for model exact between my 2020 and a same 2021 model is about $4,000. If an end-date for the Hellcat is announced, you can expect a dealer markup on top of that.

Exactly! Ralph Giles even said himself the days of the hellcat engine are numbered, it’s on life support right now, they’re sticking that engine in whatever they can, trying to get rid of the engine so to say. Charger Challenger Durango Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and now TRX.

The Power Dollars or incentive by whatever name is $4000, which is $3970 less than the full 2020 incentive. $30 is $30 but if that's what you're referring to, I'd like to blame most of that on the chip shortage and Covid and the EPA and the current administration...etc.

Bigger and more important question is:

Can you even place an order and get a 2021 Challenger Hellcat Non-widebody non-redeye before production ends ;)

Was at my dealership the other day, they said I could but there is no time frame, however they gave me a timeframe for a scat pack. 6-8 weeks
We here know more than 95%of all dealership workers.

My ship date is June 10. :). But I'd hurry. I honestly doubt they will keep making these things. Unless they keep it as an "enthusiast" vehicle with some weird loophole/exorbitant tax.

Probably the truth. It’s the dealers job to make everyone fall for the “better get it while you can” b.s. Reading this thread shows it works.
With the way things are going in this country and with covid, it wouldn’t be surprising. And again Ralph Giles already said the days of the hellcat and engine are soon to be over, and it also depends on what the epa does, always changing the standards. So not everything is bullshit coming from a dealer, and there’s a lot of articles on this as well, we all know SRT disbanded!

not having chips has hurt production across the automotive industry, and when that happens what do you think they axe first? The cars that are expensive and serve no purpose but speed. Atleast to them that is.

i didn’t come here for a pissing contest.

No the axe based on what makes them the least money.

An $80k vehicle that has had all the tooling paid for a generation ago is a massive money maker.

Besides Ralph never said soon over he said coming to an end. That goes for every ICE car in the world. They are all coming to an end in 19 years.

No manufacturer is going to develop all new ICE engines because of that but they will surely be producing very profitable vehicles with what engines they currently have along with updates.

To be honest Stellantis is way behind Ford and GM so they will be reliant on ICE engines for longer than both of them.

Anyone who thinks we'll be driving only electric, and gasoline powered cars are going to be few and far between in 20yrs or less, is kidding themselves.

The auto industry is just pandering to the idiots in government.

1. Our power grid can't support all electric, California can't even support itself now without roaming brown outs.
2. Consumption of fuel by autos is a big player to the oil industry. And the oil industry likes to make a lot of money.
