Just received the LMI, installed within minutes. I'd have to say it's a bit off. For it to be aligned perfect for best airflow it has to be without the lid. The only way the lid fits is if you push the intake down, the bend is off completely from the throttle body mouth. So I left the lid off and it's perfectly aligned. Check it out!

Looks good, just had mine installed today as well. My shield is on but it is a tight fit and may rub some with engine movement. Overall good quality product. Haven't been able to open it up yet due to rain. Booooo.

Lol can't agree with you more. Next stop 2.5 upper and some 1300cc injectors for e85 :)

Did you remove the forward air duct? Looks like its still poking in there and blocking you from moving the intake down where its supposed to be.
No I didn't. I tried pulling it out, and in and it wouldn't come off it was bothering the hell out of me. How did you remove it?

See this Link as he has the most detailed install of this on a 2017 Charger and state how much of a PITA it was to remove the tube every question and detailed install is in his video.

HonestlyOCD
Thanks, just saw the video. Was cracking up half the time seeing how frustrated that guy was with the air duct. I'm going to be removing it in the next hour. I'll be posting up updated pics.

And we don't need a tune to run the intake or we do?

And maxboost - you're not running anything to "protect" it and you don't have any water concerns?
I have no concerns, now if your driving crazy in high water and splashing I would as I have not tested that. Mine is a dd.

Took the air duct out, what a work out! Here are the new pics with the intake twisted clockwise a little more aiming the intake lower to the ground. I can now put on the lid perfectly, but have chosen to just leave it off. I love seeing the huge red filter and carbon fiber peaking under the hood scoop lol

- The tube is designed to enter the silicon coupler at a downward and back angle. Seems counter intuitive, but its done that way on purpose to fit the large filter and tube.

- The front air inlet duct is a pain in the ass to take out of the chargers. btw..... did you take a look at how pathetically small the actual tube is? You are getting a ton more air flow without it

- The vent in the hood above the filter is for heat extraction..... not pulling in outside air.

Looks good and thanks for choosing LMI! Now go out a drive hard and report back on how much you love that blower whine!

What's up Chris! Major pain in the ass dude. I literally had to pull as hard as I could. Yes, super thin tube. I don't know how any air could even get passed through there. Going out for a drive now!

Mine fit...you have to push coupler tight against tb then angle it down slightly...then tube also angled down...as long as bands are straight around you are fine..if tube is not low enough for the cover to go on without a washer then the sensor is probably getting hit by hood...also I had to turn the egr valve on the valve cover clockwise to slack up the tube or it is bent on the tube grommet

As for the stock inlet...i snipped its ass out

Are you running the green belt with stock upper & lower pulley? If so, what's the part number? I'm getting a lot of slip with the stock belt.
