you might be able to pull it out if you removed the plastic radiator/fan shroud otherwise it seems you need to remove the front grill...you don't need that front duct even if you go back to stock...it wont make a difference as the stock air box also draws air from the bottom hole which is far bigger anyways

That supercharger sounds so incredible now!

I also had to cut my inlet tube out, I pulled with everything I had and it didnt seem like it was ever gonna break through. Huge pain in the ass. LMI was easy to install but also had trouble properly positioning it. My advice to all, make sure you have a decent amount of space between tube and cover, engine vibration will scratch the tube for sure if they are touching, as it did mine :(. Now somehow scratched in two places.... May even want to put something like a weather seal or something soft on the underside and edge of the cover so it doesnt. Or trim the cover back farther. Or loosen your clamp and reposition it down and back farther the way it probably should be. Also check it after driving a few times to make sure its not scratching or hasnt shifted. Still though, the sound is awesome and its a beautiful piece. I smile everytime i get on it....just take your time positioning, get it right or it will get scratched. Now I have to figure out a creative way to hide the scratches that doesnt look tacky.

Loving the engine dress up, nice job. Where did you get all that stuff?
Thanks.. most of the carbon fiber parts were dipped by JLT Performance. Caps are Billet Tech, Hood Liner painted by Auto Arts, Inc.

I doubt you would get any restriction. The car can only suck in so much air. It may be better to have it on to potentially lessen the amount of heat the intake sucks in from the engine bay.

Please think about your last comment. Makes one scratch his head.

Lol. I know I know. I'll just leave it at that.
This intake is one of the best looking ones on the market. Really sharp looking.

My ex-wife was a knock out also, standing up.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying about the shield. I thought the intake had an inner shield, not just a top shield. Most of the time, intakes that do have a shield, are created to help keep any engine bay heat away from the actual filter itself. I guess this shield is more like a deflector, from water falling on the filter.

What's the purpose of the net?
