Anyone ever have experience with filling in/fixing license plate holes in front bumper? When I purchased my HC last fall it had a front plate on it since it came from Ohio. In Indiana we are not required to have a front plate. So I took that hideous mount off, but they screwed it directly to the bumper, which in my opinion, ruined it since I now have 4 holes in the bumper cover. Has anyone ran across the fix for this, or am I just going to have to replace front bumper cover and repaint? Thanks

Bodyshop or 4 small head christmas tree clips and paint the heads. That was a deal breaker for me when looking for cars.

They make little plugs for that, get some touch up spray paint and paint them up before installing. No it won't look perfect and too bad they doubled down by drilling four holes, geesh, but will be way better than it is.

Or go the high dollar crap shoot route and have some dealer or shop try to fill in the holes and match the paint.

No easy answer.

Low cost option: I found some low profile black push plugs to pop in there. Home depot or Lows specialty hardware drawers. You might have to counter sink the plastic lip around the hole ever so slightly so they'll sit flush. Other option is black low profile pan head screws. My car was destroyer gray and it was hardly noticeable. Looked way better than ugly empty holes.

Ok, thanks to all the replies. I appreciate it. I hadn't thought about painting the Christmas tree body panel clips. I might go that route. Low profile pan-head screws might be another option. Trying to find a fast, low cost temporary fix. Will eventually just recover it probably. Thanks again everyone.

Just an ugly eyesore (to me) knowing they are there and seeing em ever time I was the car or get near the front end. Hope it doesn't slow the car down. 😅

I used them on another car…worked well.
Oh nice! So they actually color match em themselves and everything? Nice! This seems like the best route to take on this issue. Thank you for the link. I appreciate that.

You should have no problem having a decent body shop repair the bumper cover, repaint it and should be good to go.

Good Luck!

Ok, thank you. It's worth a try to see just how much they would charge vs the bumper plugs. The plugs just seem like an easy temporary fix that would definitely look better than open holes. Although, this winter would be a good time to get any paint or body work done.

Nice! Thank you for the info. This is probably the route I'll take for now. Unless the body shop quotes me something pretty cheap.

That's what I used on my Hellcat. Perfect color match.

You can barely see them in the picture.

And also a high potential to screw it up when a shop tries to paint match.

Or maybe they can just blend it without painting the whole thing. I'd definitely try the plugs first.

That's true. I'll just do the plugs for now most likely. Hey, they might look good enough to make it a permanent fix. The other members that posted pics of theirs all look really nice.
