Hello, wondering if it would hurt the car if I lift it from the rear diff? I need to move the car over a little (4 inches). If I put a block on the rear diff and use a 2 ton jack and slide the car over, would that cause any issues?

I had the same issue once, needed to slide the rear of the car over a few inches. I put a small 2x4 between the jack and the diff and raised just enough to enable me to pull the jack sideways and move the rear of car over. Be careful cause you don't want to hurt a fin. Probably not a good practice but it did what I needed.

Even tho the manufacture approves I never lifted the 2000 lb rear of my car by the rubber mounted diff before locking it out

Been lifting there since installing the lock out but after seeing dudes case crack a few weeks ago I’ve gone back to the sides
