Well looks like there will be no solution to the 21+ Red-eye front skinnies other than a 20x7 wheels, and no I don't want to do the small break swap.

That being said what's the smallest, lightest 20" tire available for the stock 20x9.5 wheel.

I'd also be interested in the same info on the 20x7 wheel to see if the savings are worth the $2600 price tag.

Thanks, Ron

Weld is making a new 20x7 wheel for the 21+ Red-eyes.

Comes it at 26lbs and still needs a spacer.
At $1k per wheel plus tires is not really worth it to me for 2 lbs saving per wheel (over light weight factory 20x9s). I'd get a set if forgestar makes a DR in 20x70 for around $300 just so they match the tears though.

The stage 2 kit for the same cost will have a much bigger effect.

That being said that is why I'm looking for who makes the lightest 20 inch tire.

I was talking with tire rack guy and he told me if you add the tires to "compare" and look under detailed specs you find approximate weights.

The narrower 20” tires I have been finding have shown weights from 20 - 22 lbs each. About 10 - 12 lbs less than the stock 275 tire. Shave some weight off the front wheels & put on a hollow front sway bar & it might all amount to something. Any Unsprung weight Saved is a win.

You can spend $2k+ on a couple 5.5” wheels and a couple 15 pound Bridgestone Ecopia EP500 155/60R20’s…

Or you could buy two 10 pound bottles, a couple fat valves, some steel braided line, and a couple nozzles; and you would prolly still have enough left to buy injectors to fuel both units : )

Ideally, for front wheels, you basically need a pair of skinny tillers to keep the front end off the pavement at the strip, right? 26 pounds is WAY too heavy for a wheel that is substantially narrower than stock, I think.

Weld or Center Line must have some wheels that are ultra-light and ultra-skinny to suit those skinny front runner-style tires, yes?

I understand you will need brake clearance, but aren't there spacers for just such an occasion?
