Anybody have an idea on why my LMI intake clamps aren’t sitting flus against the cuppler?? I have it angled down and back just like it says to do. Iv tried just about everything to get this damn thing to fit proper and it just won’t. I’m about ready to sell it and buy a JLT….

Try flipping it by putting that gap towards the throttle body.

I ran into the same issue when I had my charger. Besides the clamp, I would also get a gap between the coupler and the tube. I took the intake off and couldn’t see any light coming in through the gap, I checked Instagram/YouTube and everyone else had the same gap so I didn’t worry about it. When I sold the car I took the intake off again and squirted some water around the space between the coupler and the tube…after a few seconds the water seeped through. I assume atleast some dirt was getting in through this gap.

Yes I currently run the jlt. It works well, fits good and looks nice. I have been looking at the AFe intake (without the box) if I wanted to change things up down the road.

I think I’m going to go ahead with the JLT and sell the LMI. It does look cool and for whatever reason the whine is a little louder with the LMI but I’m after performance not sound. Only thing that worries me is the JLTs rain guard that blocks off the heat extracted vent… I wish dodge would have putt the vents a little further back so nobody would have to worry about a wet intake.

I think stock would be better for performance and there are stats out there showing that the JLT, BWoody and Legmaker are hot air intakes that give you a hell of a whine. We have a Legmaker and fitment was perfect, install was simple and the whine is fanatic. I have no expectations of performance gains, and if I really wanted that I would have explored the AEM box that is close to a grand, but again, the lack of performance from the Legmaker is a non factor since it is has no impact on daily driver. I can't imagine any intake would have an impact unless you added more, like a tune and other bolt on upgrades.
