so i recently installed my LMI intake on my 2017 hellcat charger. it looks good and sounds amazing my only issue is when tightening the clamp onto the intake tube it wont stay straight. it keeps tightening at a weird angle. iv been fighting with it for 3 days now as my OCD is kicking my ass... any recommendations? is this a common issue? if so how do you fix it iv tried just about everything...

Clean the silicone with glass cleaner if the clamp keeps sliding to a spot. Post a pic, I have never had an issue with this, you just want the clamp straight on the tube.

Its carbon fiber brother, clamp has to be straight and not over tightened.

This is what I’m currently dealing with. I’m just about ready to sell this Instake and get a JLT. For $500 there shouldn’t be this any fitment issues. I got the clamps as straight as I could but now there’s a small section of the clamp that isn’t sitting flush against the cuppler. I’m sure it’s sealed up all the way but for someone with OCD this isn’t okay… opinion?? Please help. Hood Automotive lighting Automotive tire Automotive mirror Motor vehicle

I can't make sense of this picture because it is so close.

The clamp needs to go to the edge of the rubber, try sliding the filter further on or off so it is being clamped on straight.

YES, IT'S OK. Move on to to the painter's tape for burnouts! 😁

It was a pain.. It took me many attempts to get everything “perfect”. If you are still having trouble, you can try to loosen the clamps on each side and have more wiggle room; then you can get them aligned better and go turn by turn on each side. That seemed to work for me, I hope you got it figured out though. But yes it will eventually align without that gap. 🙂
