I'll get excited when it actually enters production. The sad thing is, this couldn't be happening at a worst time. I normally like to buy into a good loan rate with a nice down payment, but I'm currently kinda tight on cash flow at the moment. Just got done with a huge home remodel (wife's garage, deck, landscaping, plumbing work and took down half a forest of trees in the yard). I was expecting this to actually move a lot slower. I'm hoping the car doesn't show up until March. If so, all's well, but if it shows up in mid February, I'm going to likely eat it hard on my trade and have not nearly enough for a decent down payment. Of course, I'll try to unload the car privately, but Jan/Feb is the WORST months to sell or trade a car.

Somehow I'll figure out how to get this deal done. All I need to do is find $15,000 under the couch or something.

These are difficult times. Have you considered setting up a Go Fund Me page? I'm sure a lot of people here on this forum would contribute to help you through this difficult situation.

LOL. Nah, I have some assets I can move around. I'll probably just sell one of my guitars. I have an Eddie Van Halen played guitar and a Carlos Santana played guitar. Either of those would give me the cash I need I'm trying to do it on my own though just plain old cash, but I won't make enough between now and mid Feb. The dealer said that it's currently taking them less than a month to get cars down here.

My wife is also not receptive to starting an onlyfans. Tough times.

Instead of the Ferrari logo, it has a black stingray done sort of like the shape of the Ferrari horse. Instead of SF on the lower badge, it says GM

Nice. He can cleverly sidestep any (rational) copyright attacks by Ferrari. Unlike the guy who used to do body kits for the 2XX Datsuns that looked a lot like Ferraris and his logo was an upside-down dancing skunk shaped like the horse.

He sure has been memory-holed on the Internet. The logo was a skunk standing on its right foreleg and his tail forming part of the whole silhoutte. It was quite funny, and his GTO replicas were pretty nice-looking. I think it upset Enzo.

I am trying to be pragmatic over here. I won't lie, I'm going to be apprehensive up until they hand me the keys. I am 90% sure I'll have my finances in order by the time the car arrives. So long as it shows up after March 5th or so, I should be good to go. Not once in my life have I ever been turned down for a car loan... but I've been doing this a long time and I know that I'm riding the edge on this one. My C8 is going up to auction with an 87k reserve on February 4th. If it sells, all problems are solved. If it doesn't then I'll just trade it in. My thinking is that it takes about a month once the deal is closed to process the title (and update my credit history). If I private flip it any later than mid Feb, I run the risk of eating a higher interest rate due to the C8 loan still showing up. If I trade it, then it's handled right then and there.

It'll feel like victory when they give me the keys.

The flip-side of that though is just the sadness if I show up and we're too far apart to make a deal. There's a chance, albeit very small. I'd still be happy the car got built, as it really shouldn't exist at all.

Yeah, I've got plans for this car. I'm going to write up a 2-3 page show brochure about the crazy circumstances that had this car ordered, canceled, built anyway, and hopefully finally taken home. I think it'll make a nice feel good story for car show fans.
