Hello,

did anyone pickup their Hellcat recently from Chapman -Horsham? After 7months of wait finally it arrived and Tom and team has been great to deal with so far. However, i am being marked up on the Money factor crazily. The Sales manager helping me was reluctant to work with. So just checking to see if anyone else were able to dodge the bullet? The long wait and then this:(

looking for help or suggestions from the Fam

I ordered on 12/13/21, they received my jailbreak 3/31/22.

no funny business on pricing. They did state that there was NO price protection at the time of ordering. The rest went smoothly, i used my own bank and not through their financing approval

i had no issues with chapman. Sorry you’re going through this.

Hi,
My first post on here was a rant about them, they are the worst. Hope it works out for you.
I order from Koons.

Things looked good so far with the Chapman Team. Tom was so responsive till date and the pricing was spot on. However, its the Finance manager currently who is reluctant to work with.

Well, given the time since you ordered, inflation has really gone up monstrously. Some of that price increase on the MSRP is due to that. I don't know if your dealer is slapping an additional markup on it. If so, that's pretty slimy, but it's not rare these days either.

In the end, you have to decide if you really want the car or not. They may not budge, simply because if you reject the price, they'll put it on their lot (and all over the internet) with a $25,000 added markup and they'll sell it in 2 days with how fire they are right now. In short, on the Jailbreaks, it's a seller's market to the max. They have you by the short and skinnies and there's nothing you can do but bend over and take it or walk away.

I have a SS on order with Chapman also. But I want to pay cash, hope that makes a difference... :( How much do you have to pay more?
Unfortunately cash won't matter. The dealer will get their money whether from you or a bank. People also think buying a home with cash is an advantage but It's not. At closing, the seller will be getting their money from either a cash buyer or their bank. The only advantage in my opinion is that if you're paying cash for a home you most likely do not have a contingency and can maybe close a little quicker. That would be the advantage. I paid cash for my HC but got no additional deal. I don't think the other cash buyers on this forum did either just for paying cash. Remember, the dealer gives you a $1000 rebate for going with Dodge financing. They may even prefer a non cash payer for this reason. We, the consumer nearly always loses lol.

Not a Chapman fan, either. I leased my first 707 car from there and they played games and I nearly walked. I also agree that rates have increased significantly since order. Koons was great and held price, but hit me with a 4.99% interest rate. "take it or leave it" I was told. I took the deal and refinanced with Police and Fire for 2.99%.

That would Tick me off! Was there something in your order form that said they could "mark up the Money Factor?

I bought my Hellcat from Reedman Toll and times were different. I even bought the life time warranty $4,000.00 but when they new I was going to be Modifying and Racing they sent me the payment back in full.

When I went to their site this Pops up. So why the mark up?

When my HC comes in I plan on seeing where CF rates are and if they are up I’ll go through my credit union.

I use them for service because a few of the techs, parts people, and one of the service advisors used to work with my father & I trust those people. I knew one person in sales who was also the commander at the local American Legion post (which is how I knew him originally), but he is no longer working there. Otherwise i’ve gotten the run around from them as well. I leased my ‘17 from Bergey’s, and couldn’t be happier.

When my lease was almost up I was looking for an identical vehicle to get into. I had Bergey’s run a price quote for a car at the time, but I still shopped around just to see what else was out there. At the time Chapman had 2 Pitch Black NB Hellcats, similarly equipped to mine minus the HK audio. I went in for a price quote, it ended up being a higher monthly payment, with more money down, on a lower MSRP vehicle.

At one point I heard they were ADM’ing anything performance, anywhere from $10K on a 392 Wrangler, to $25K on Trackhawks and TRX trucks. Not sure if that was on in stock units only, but i’ve heard alot of conflicting stories regarding sales come out of that place for sure.

they are joke, took my jailbreak order, just to cancel 2 months later, they probably canceled due to committing below invoice on jailbreak i ordered or no allocation, flip a coin
what's ever funny is the poor customer support by dodge, they cancel orders with no regard for the customer, you can only use the covid excuse for so long.

No ADM's on retail orders from what i've heard/read. You currently get 3% under invoice on costum orders. There should be ADM's on stock units only.

"Lock-in pricing", "Vehicle prices are negotiated and agreed upon by the costumer and the dealer at the time of ordering"

I do have the POC attached to an email form Ashley stating 3% Under invoice + tax/tags & $422 PA doc fee and NO ADM.
