I’m running intake temps around 150 here in the boot is that normal operating range for hot day in LA

If you are looking at a CAI for temp reduction stay with stock. It's the best at keeping the heat out. Only gain in a CAI is for more sound out of the supercharger. For that one purpose I went JLT. My intake temps went up with the water guard in place. With it removed it's basically the same as stock. I kept it as I like the added SC sound.

For catch can - That can be debated more than what oil to run and when to change it for the first time. I have the JLT and it's about half full when I change my oil (think that's about 4OZ). You aren't going to get a performance gain with one but I like the piece of mind of my intake, intercoolers and sensors staying cleaner but even that can be debated.

I agree with Frosty. For the catch can, I would do it again knowing it is keeping some oil from going back into the intake regardless of it getting it all or not.

Yep. That's why I keep a dashboard panther in my HC.

The Hellcat has an intimidating amount of power and you've got to learn to drive with the fear. There ain't nothing more frightening than driving with a panther in the car. If you're calm, that wonderous big cat will be calm too. But if you're scared, that beautiful death machine will do what God made it to do... namely, eat you with a smile on its face.
