Pretty much like the subject says. Wondering and thinking on going back to standard ride height. When I got my car back from the shop it needed new tires. The PZEROS had gone super bald on in inner edge. So, that extra angle aint helping it seems, kinda figured that though.

Anyone else? My car was stock when I lowered it the first time. So, not real sure about the standard ride height now.

IIRC there still is no good solution to the CV boot tearing issue caused by lowing LX platform cars. I recall a thread years ago where some guys spent over two years trying every possible solution and never found one last I checked.

Lowered or not, my tires did not last as long as I hoped…and I’m just a cruiser and don’t do crazy burnouts. Lowered exasperated the problem and wore the tires quicker. I was lucky to get 14k miles on a set while going very easy on the car. My solution was a complete set of AAD suspension parts. The adjustability of the AAD is worth it and the tires are wearing much better. Fronts (275) are looking great at 23k miles and rears (315) too at 16k miles…good amount of life left.

I prefer a reasonable lowered height, nothing extreme, but a small amount to help reduce the wheel gap. Whether you keep it lowered or go back to stock, I would recommend the AAD suspension kit to help prolong the life of your tires…the stock parts are quite limited in terms of alignment adjustments.

Manual transmission screams I wanna go around corners

Lowering the center of gravity helps a car do that

Especially if the car weighs 2.5 tons : )

*Could find someone to raise the diff or just have Gforce rebuild the cv’s when one takes a dump. It already has their axle’s yeah? Post a side shot. Let’s see where yer at now

@shademaker When you get your car back it will be still be modified for Racing?

Lowering would be a bad idea for the 1/4 mile.

Having a 15 in conversion, would lower your car and for those of us the have 18's or 17's inch wheels many of us have the Drag Springs and many have AAD parts installed for strength too.

I already have it back. Its not ready for racing. Still drive it as its my only car right now. Motor needs to come out, trans is kinda toast. Clutch is either glazed up or just fried. Rear in ... not ready to race now.

Was just looking at it yesterday thinking about the wear patterns on the old tires. Lowering seems not ideal if I want to do 1 mile stuff one day.

"""""""IF""""""""""" you will keep your car a while, the springs will sag over time. I was going to lower my new Charger but reconsidered after a year of not getting it done.

I think the Widebody and Dynamics package cars look the best as far as height, but they all look good stock to me. I’ve got one lowered vehicle, done before I bought it. No more lowered cars for me.

I love the look of these lowered. Mines been lowered around 6 years now and still happy with it (even with long tubes). Rear camber was fixed with Bwoody parts. CV boots did tear so I replace the half shafts with donor Redeye shafts...so far, so good. Lowering, and Conti. tires, took nearly 5 seconds off my personal best at the local road course.

Had my car lowered on mopar springs since I bought it over 6 years ago. Matter of fact the dealership installed the springs before I took delivery. No issues what so ever. No CV boot issues or uneven tire wear. My alignments would have negative camber all the way around, but nothing crazy. I think the mopar springs are a good compromise; because it’s not a drastic drop, and little to no fender gaps.

You know I just lowered my rear to give it a more of a level look I didn't touch the front I don't want to mess with the geometry. I did replace the springs. Also with adjustable control arms for the camber. No issues and rides like factory. I'm also running the factory isolators.

Facts! If that then, I would have done the same. Right now I have the slight rake look, but I'm cool with that. But my car would be more steep driveway friendly, if I kept the stock front springs on.

Yeah I get no scrapes or anything. I've lowered my scat widebody on kws and I thought that was just a little bit too low for me and there was a little bit of scrapeage. In my opinion this is the best setup if you're going to lower your car and can still run a drag tire
