Thanks for the reply Chad! That's good that they will allow you to do the work if you can take on the effort then send tunes to help get things lined out. I've been tossing back and, forth either using Tim Barth or OST as both are close and, offer great service from what i hear. In my case i'm thinking a maxed out 93 tune with a backup race gas tune for that extra punch when needed.
Right now, i have only 5,900 miles on my Stock Blower and, wanted to see around 10k before i did anything tune wise in case the bearings fail. So far so good. That's the only thing keeping me from picking up the phone or sending emails off to narrow down my two choices.
I agree with your choice of switching to Bias Ply on the rear to help with the hook- Out of curiosity though, how much do you feel that change improved your 60' times?
I chose the 17" x 10" Bogarts and, Mickey Thompson 305/45/17's Et Street R's to keep my reciprocating mass down and, with the slightly shorter height- a slight regearing of the rear and, hopefully some better weight transfer. One side benefit too is that i can always drive the car to the track with the stock front tires airing the backs to 32psi. I always keep a can of Slime and, a better mini compressor than the supplied one in the trunk just in case though. Right now that's kind of keeping it simple.
I thought i might air the stock fronts to 45psi next time to see if i can hold the front up a little and, help with the hook but, i also need to observe better how the suspension settings were holding after using the Burnbox HC as i encountered some bog on few of my passes. I think/know it did reset to Street/Street at least once.
If you look back at Post #506 you can see that i've done alot to eliminate flex in the car at a slight cost in weight but, overall i really feel these little steps have built a better foundation for the future when more power is applied.
Probably the best thing about owning/driving an M6 Cat at Terre Haute's 1/8th mile was that so many people stopped by to talk and, were amazed that i was actually running three pedals! Ronnie Sox i am not but, it sure is fun...
Thanks again!
