Well I decided to run her twice today... We were at an event and I couldn't resist.

Here are some details:

DA : 2700
Temp: 87 degrees
Tire pressure : 40 lbs all around (stock p-zeros and I didn't think I was gonna run)
Mileage : 504. This was also the first time laying the hammer on the car. I had not done it yet.

Preface: 4 other Hellcats were there and trapping 121-125mph. They were autos

There was a modified ecu Cat trapping a best of 127mph

I ran it twice and here are the bests:

60ft: 2.219
1/8 : 8.281
1/4 : 12.432
Trap: 121 mph

I feel like with a good DA and some seat time I can rip a 11.70 at 124-126mph.

First run I bounced off the rev limiter in 3rd and second run I had wheel hop in 2nd and 3rd.

I know the manual is going to be a few tenths off and maybe a few mph (2-3) then the auto.

Thoughts ?

So I'm curious (as I only have 7 miles on a newly delivered M6 and the weather hasn't left winter yet here), what do you think if you would have taken traction control off, too much wheel spin?
Also, when you shifted, were you 'flat shifting' or out of the throttle when clutching...
just curious and Waiting for warm weather....

I was not flat shifting - I was taking it easy on the shifts. I am not sure what would have happened with no traction control.

I also did not do a burnout either time for the street tires. It was almost 90 degrees... Plus street tires really don't get stickier with a burnout I hear.

I should have lost 15 lbs of pressure in the tires. I left the line each time at about 2k

Nice. So you ran the engine up to 2000 RPM, no launch control, correct? I assume you had to shift to 4th correct?
Your post is much appreciated btw..
I held it at about 2 k at launch with no LC. You do have to get into 4 th which really sucks... Right near the end and if you don't you will bounce off the rev limiter.

Better DA , less air in the stockers, and a few more times down the track and she will trap 125 and get an 11.7. I can feel it !

Awesome run with just over 500 and stock tired and no heat prep. You will totally have it down in 11s in no time! thanks for sharing. It might take a little bit more to dial in our m6s but they are a blast!:D

About the same as I got. 2.1 60 ft. 12.21 @121. Next time I'll have drs. Very hard to put that power down isn't it ?
I felt like I didn't have a hard time.. Except the run with the wheel hop.

I think the temps , DA and tire pressure hurt me the most.

I feel like if you peddle first you will be ok. After first she was good

29 inch tires in back and maybe you won't need to go to 4th

275/40/20 is a 28.7" tire
6200rpms in 3rd gear gives 120mph

275/45/20 is a 29.7" tire (I just made up a size to get a diameter for comparison)
6200rpms in 3rd gear gives 125mph.

You would probably need a 30" tire to stay in 3rd gear for sure. Would that even fit?

Thanks for the math... I'm thinking just go smaller and lighter and then use 4th earlier....
