M6, A8, doesn't matter a long as you have the car you want

Perfect response.... These A8 guys act like the M6 is a slug or something... Car and Driver were the only ones to test both the A8 and M6... Their results? The M6 was 2 tenths slower, but ran THE SAME TRAP SPEED...

Like Ive said before, all these guys saying they bought the A8 because "its faster" , please post time slips of all your track days.. Because I can almost guarantee 9 of 10 NEVER see the track.

Id like to take a couple of these guys for a ride in my M6... 45mph in second gear, a little rev and dump the clutch with the drag radials on... Then have them tell me my car is "slow"...lol
Based on some old Direct Connection reports, trap speed is a function of power, and e.t. is a function of efficiently transmitting the power to the pavement...that is suspension, weight distribution, traction, and gearing. You can easily have .2-.5+ tents difference.

I enjoy driving a stick, and that's enough reason, although there are many others... maintenance for one...

As for an auto, I hate the "push" of an auto as I come up to a stop, and that is enough to not get one, although there are many others as well. This is something that I have always hated with a passion. I can't even imagine how bad it would be in a car with this much power/tq...
The A8 downshifts when you slow down. No push to a stop. Very much like the DCT. It's nice FCA gave Challenger drivers a choice.
