Just got the garage door converted to a high lift with a jack shaft opener. Next is the arrival and install of a four post lift. All in preparation for the eventual arrival of a shinny new Jazz Blue Challenger Hellcat. And I thought anticipation was getting Heinz catsup out of the bottle. I may just have to take a ride to relax and then something cold afterwards. This episode of "As the Hellcat turns" brought to you by FCA who says "Let us fill that empty space in your garage".

I've been looking at a single pole hoist but I don't see anyway to store a car up top:(

How about a pic of the jack shaft setup?

I just built a new house with 12' garage ceilings and used 8' tall garage doors with the high lift doors and side jack openers. They are slick. Very quiet but kinda of slow to open and close. Plenty of room for a lift. I will see if I can get some photos.
Its a model home and its for sale.

I did the exact same thing in preparation for the Cat. I have a 12 1/2 foot ceiling in my garage. Everything is complete but I am still missing the Cat. One good thing....the underside of my 69 Charger R/T has never looked better. The lift is the best thing that I have ever purchased. No more old man issues while climbing under a car and then trying to stand back up afterwards.

Will I guess that last one could've been better but you get the idea. Like Cuda said they are quiet but a little slow. I have 10' ceilings and should have enough room.

10' should be plenty unless you have a van. I have 12' only because I had to drop the garage floor with the build per the city. Now I have a couple steps from the garage into the house. I did not want the space to go to waste

garage envy did you see his list of cars?
That's what comes from a wife who believes in, and I quote, "better fast cars then fast women". In other words, she's a keeper and it's her fault I have 2 Snakes. I was going to trade in the 08 for the 14 to keep the collection small. But she said I would regret it because Carroll signed my passenger visor and a matching diecast car. I always do what the wife says. :D

good call!

I had a signed SP 360 Shelby ( if you know what that is ) we sold her. I don't regret it but has some very minor feelings about it once Carroll past.

Thanks. When the garage door is open how much room do you have to the roof of the car? Mine right now is 49 inches w/o the modification.
I have 70" to the ceiling so I guess about 60" to the door. But the door doesn't run along the ceiling as far as it did before the conversion. I also can back the car onto the lift if I need more clearance. I will have to play when the lift gets here. I will post pics so you can see.

Thanks. I think so too.

I know he done a lot with Mopar when Iacocca was overlord working with the Daytona and Omni. I heard mention he was putting something together for the truck/SUV vehicles but never seen any. I bet it got lots of looks.

Well if you see my picture I have a 04 Tahoe under my 68 Cuda convertible and still have a few feet of clearance. I had Bendpack build me a extra wide four post lift. My ceiling height is over 14 feet. The lift is an extra 17" wide so that the posts are wider than the 9 foot wide garage door. If anyone needs details, please let me know, it is great lift that is rated for 9000 pounds.
