Agreed here, I can't possibly imagine paying that much for a driveshaft unless I was trying to set new Hellcat records. I'm not even sure any of the top 10-15 quickest Hellcat's in the country right now are using these. If so, it really isn't many. Most stick with the tried and true one piece aluminum. I hated to pay $1700 for my QA1 carbon driveshaft when I bought it years ago but at the time, I needed a one piece and no one else had an aluminum one in stock so I splurged.

Don't like the one piece. I can still hear the harmonics. Some people say they feel connected to the road me personally feels like I'm riding a hardtail compared to a softail motorcycle.. as I seen in all these posts here that the one piece will have harmonics problems. Some people might not hear them due to being catless.. the other option to the Mark Williams two pieces to try and get a red eye demon or super stock factory drive shaft..

What kind of driveshaft is that to cost $4k, titanium? I have a 1500+hp carbon fiber DSS driveshaft with a Strange yoke in my S2000, and granted it is only about 3.5 ft long, it didn't run anywhere near $4k. I think it was about $1800.

Over 2 months of waiting on their driveshaft with all the excuses..I get a driveshaft that looks like they was dragging it across the floor on the center carrier bearing brace

Seems to me for that price point, that drive shaft should be the best designed, the strongest and best looking one out there. If it isn't - I'd send it back for a full refund.

I never would payed 4300 for this..I questioned my options at 3200..So I bought a 1 piece aluminum for 1300..I really don't like it ..Now back to a 2 piece..Mark Williams is the only one who has one and I never heard any complaints about them.. I haven't installed it yet to say how the quality is . My only complaint is that center carrier brace having paint come off an still being wet with all them wood chips embedded in it.. Will it hurt performance of it? Probably not .. Just cosmetic .. Does need paint to keep from rusting but at 3200 I shouldn't have to be sanding and painting.

Not to highjack, but my builder warned me about the one piece aluminum and potential harmonics issues and convinced me to go with a DSS CF to avoid the issue. Is his logic flawed? It was expensive, but way less than $3200 or worse $4300. I’ll only be making between 1000 and 1100 whp.

I've seen no evidence to support any harmonics making any difference from a reliability standpoint. Best thing you can do to strengthen the drive train is a one piece driveshaft, cradle lockout, and diff brace.

Understood, and all 3 boxes checked. But I’m also doing everything I can to maintain street manners and driveability

I ran a CCI aluminum driveshaft for 2 years in my wife's Charger Hellcat, 34k miles, no vibration, and harmonics that were worth noting. You have to remember that the diffs in these cars often have some whine which you're going to hear, whether it's from the diff or transmitted some through the driveshaft. I never had anyone ride in the Charger ask about any whining or harmonics.

Honestly, if it were me, it would be going right back to them for the repaint. Doesn't matter if it doesn't affect performance. It should come without any defects at that price tag... Do you need that specific DS, probably not, but if it makes the difference to you then it doesn't really matter if you need it or not.
Do you daily your cat? I drive mine pretty regularly and I have a 1-piece, but to me it didn't change much, really cheap insurance from my oem snapping and beating the hell out of the car lol
Contact them directly and express your issues with the damaged parts and depending on how they do business, they may try and compensate you with something in return...

Hes right .. I just would be doing more road driving.. When them things wear or get hit with something from the road you could have issues.. They do need to be checked periodically for cracks nicks chips and potential wear.
