I will ..Just give me little time lol.. Christmas day and all tied up running aroundAny chance you can weigh that before it is installed?
Thx
Ok I did have a few minutes and weighed this driveshaft...It's a little awkward to weigh but I come up with 35.5 lbsI will ..Just give me little time lol.. Christmas day and all tied up running around
$4,377.00 LOL.Nice present!! What’s he charging for one these days if we may ask?
Ugggg, nice piece but that’s insane!!$4,377.00 LOL.
Jeez. My dad and I were watching engine masters yesterday and he told me how he had sanded ports to clean them, used garbage to repair/replace gaskets, and hammered straight tappets that had gotten bent. Lol. The 70s sound nuts.Thx. Remember when you could bring measurements and $150 to driveline service and they would build you a shaft that would hold up in a super comp car? Those days are long gone : )
I know of a Demon being made into a gutted lightweight caged track only car because the DS snapped and made a disaster out of the tunnel to the point it ruined the car enough the guy made a sacrifice out of it. But I’ve heard from a good source the MW ones may run smooth at high speed but don’t hold up beyond 1000 wheel especially in the heat because the tube to yoke joints are bonded not welded and the bond fails from exhaust system heat. This from a DS shop that at one time supposedly made parts and did balancing for MW. Hopefully not the case but it did make me rethink spending 3200 on one at the 2 years ago price, WOW did they go up!!I’m still waiting to see if anyone have broken a stock demon/Redeye 2 piece driveshaft yet. That’s what I went with over my old dss 4” 1 piece.
That’s when I considered it as well, now the price is insane lol. I heard the same thing about heat and their bonding process, will be interesting to see. So, what you’re saying is I should get 2 driveshaft loops? Front and rear? 😂I know of a Demon being made into a gutted lightweight caged track only car because the DS snapped and made a disaster out of the tunnel to the point it ruined the car enough the guy made a sacrifice out of it.
