If anybody has 345/30/20 Michelin pilot super sports installed, could you measure and post the section width / overall width sidewall to sidewall and note the width of the wheel they’re on? Thanks in advance. 👍🏻

Do you mean besides what Tire Rack shows?
Yeah, I think they only show a measurement on a 12” wheel. Not sure if taken from manufacturers specs or a real world measurement.

They don’t grow with respect to the 13.8” which is the width of the thread basically. I have two sets on 12” wide wheels. I like them on the 12” wheels because of the good “cushion” in that measurement. I don’t have to worry about skidding expensive wheel rims when they are laid down on the floor. I have 325’s on 12’s also and don’t like that combo because even with the shown 13” width, they cause the edge of the rim to be in jeopardy if I am not careful handling them.

I don’t see the benefit to more than 12” wide wheels in this application. I own Cup 2’s and PS4S in that size and both are mounted on 12” wide wheels that look and perform great. The incremental benefit of a bit wider wheel, is hard to justify for me.

Great info. Thanks. I found a good deal on some 20x12 BC Forged wheels and contemplated swapping to 13” barrels since I have room on my application if it lays the tire out a bit wider. But, like you, I want that rim protection.

Which run widest of those 3 tires?

The Cup 2’s and the PS4S really seem about the same. They are large. If you can help it, the 12” rims seem about right even the fit on the car.
