What happens if you don't like the car when it arrives, is there any grace period or right of refusal?
When you buy a car at auction or online, even with inspections you have to expect some things will need to be fixed and most only will pursue blatant non-disclosure and even then that is not so easy. You have to do your homework beforehand. If possible it helps to see in person and have a huge amount of car knowlege to be able to self-inspect, because even paid 3rd party inspectors have missed things, that seem obvious to some. On top of that, time and modern cars has made some forget how vintage ones will endlessly have something failing on them, and that the 727 Torquflite will ALWAYS leak pretty bad. Despite all that, they are still worth the headaches, if it's your 'forever dreamcar', otherwise expect remorse.

Hmm just was wondering about recourse if it's not what it's purported to be is all, like not actual 440 6pack car ect, Sienfelds Porsche comes to mind 😳.
Never had issue with my 727, was rock solid for the 9 years I had it.

By how they so carefully worded the auction listing while accidentally leaving out certain pictures, it is possible it has a replacement block and (maybe) transmission despite it likely being a well done real "V" code car based on the pics that are there. Hopefully the block is at the very least, a correct year "HP" replacement which isn't so terrible if everything else checks out ok. In today's market a tribute/clone is worth about 50%, but a real one with a correct replacement block is worth about 75% of a full matching numbers car. But I guess you know all that too already. Good luck.

Yes, it's a huge problem buying one of these cars remotely, you have no real idea what's been done to it without doing an inspection. I'm guessing they don't let anyone test drive them so at best you are getting a visual inspection, maybe they'll turn over the engine once or twice for interested parties. I believe these cars are all sold "AS-IS". Perhaps they are misrepresenting a car as original when the engines been changed out you can get a refund but I don't think there are any requirements for working condition (as long as they state it). I've seen several similar models go for widely varying prices, one is original with very low millage in excellent condition, one has a lot of miles and needs a lot of work, one is a complete rebuild with a lot of replacement parts, same car vastly different values.

I can do that if you want me to.
Would be much appreciated, not expecting a full inspection or anything just give it a once over. I am most concerned if it's a numbers matching engine and trans I have my doubts as that's usually the first thing they say if it is, not that it would be a deal breaker but it would half my bid. Also maybe try and get a feel for the owner if they're about.

Idiots tend to make themselves known pretty easily 😁.

A pm here is fine I don't want to put you out.

The bidding will also be a good indicator, if no one's really bidding on it there's probably a reason.

I'd love to have this 47' Dodge Custom, whoever did the resto did a great job on the exterior at least. OKSS, I've got $20 burning a hole in my pocket, put a bid on that for me, I'll go up to $100, oh wait that's at the Orlando auction, mind swinging by that one also?
