My problem is I was driving today about 50 miles from home taking the wife out to eat. We noticed a tire had a nail in it. The tire needs replaced. I have the pirelli summer tires on it that it came with new. About 2300 miles on them.
I can replace the one tire or switch to Michelin ps4s tires now. The dealership had these Michelin that someone ordered and they was going to return them tomorrow.
As I understand the ps4s are out of stock now.
I need to decide which way to go but I need traction like most redeye owners do.
My 2020 Scat Pack came with the Pirelli high performance (summer) tires. They are great. Tons better than the Pirelli all season tires that came with my Hellcat.
My advice would be to just replace the punctured tire with the same tire and drive on.
Then when the current tires need replacing then you can consider switching brands.
Michelin comes in for high praise. I have not run Michelin tires on my Dodge cars but I ran them -- the high performance version -- on one of my Porsche cars for a number of years and the Michelin tires proved to be quite good. As good as the high performance Pirelli tires I ran at other times. But the difference was not that much and unless the Michelin tires were priced within $100 or less of the Pirelli tires I'd chose to run the Pirelli tires.
