Just curious how many miles you can expect to get out of the 315/40-18's in just normal summer driving? I am going to run All Season's after October and during the first part of spring and will switch to the AS's for any long trips to Car Show's that are several hours away. Can you expect to get 10,000 miles out of these or am I dreaming?

Definitely find an all season tire to run daily as they won't last long, I've got 515 miles on mine already and I'm getting concerned that I might only get started into next season with them before they're used up. I've heard you can expect 4000-5000 miles out of the DRs under standard normal driving conditions.
Our towns yearly State Street Cruise is September 17th and I expect to use up a few too many miles that day ;) as everything is allowed as long as you are safe and follow basic traffic laws, ie stop lights, stop signs that type of stuff. The road will look like it was repaved in rubber the next day, it's freakin awesome!!

Not to mention they are impossible to find right now! I haven't seen stock tire size of any style for sale or in stock anywhere in months.

My 315 NT05R’s have now got almost 5k since summer of 2019 and I’ll easily get them into next season. I dont beat the car but each time I wipe it down I remove fine black tire dust from the rear 1/4’s and bumper cover.

I went through 12 sets of 20" 555 rears in 45k miles, over 3.5 years, on my last car. It was my daily, minimal drag racing but lots of roll racing and hauling ass debauchery. So, averaged 3,750 miles per set I suppose.

They made a massive difference in traction for me. Plus I loved the way they screamed for mercy when you got on them. I find it difficult to accurately detect spinning without the audible feedback. Watch your ass in the rain though.

4,000 miles or so. 10k is unrealistic. You can barely get that out of a PS4S. On those, you start losing max grip at around 8,000 and they're dangerous by 10-12k.

Keep in mind that when I say "4,000 miles" I'm not talking about the tires go bald and unusable at 2,000mi. I'm talking about the threshold where the tires go into traction fade and become irregular, and thus begin losing grip. For a drag radial to be a functional tire, it needs to be consistent. This is why my DRs never once get the opportunity to touch a street surface. The road tears them up and reduces their performance at the track. Given how soft they are, they are much more prone to road damage. It's entirely plausible to ruin them in under 2,000 mi.

If they have never touched a road surface how do you know it tears em up makes em inconsistent?

MT is a heavy radial and is not prone to road damage

My track still scrapes n sprays the entire return road. It’s all concrete too cuz asphalt would ruin my tires 🙄

Tires wear when they slip. The more you slip them the faster they wear. I remember nursing a set for over a month, so I'd pass tech at Road America........

I'm doing that with my truck tires so I can get another month or two out of them to put the new winter tires back on then I can replace the summer tires in the spring when the winter tires come off. They are way past the wear lines and almost bald   I just hate to spend the money on all new tires and I need a set of tpms sensors for the summer rims right before they come off for winter.

I have found that I can barely get 2k miles out of them, but that’s just the rears. Swap them to the front and get fresh ones on the back. I do not do burnouts (intentionally), but do drive her very spiritedly, as designed. There is only 6/32” of depth when fresh, and I take them to less than 1/32”, although Discount will give you grief about going below 2/32”, per some “legality”. If you get 10k miles please let us know
