Hey all,

I recently equipped my hellcat with some 17" Forgestar F14's with M/T Street R's in the rear. I have tried reading around the web but it seems people discuss the life out of the Street S/S's more and I was just curious how much mileage, any of you running Street R's , have gotten out of the tire. I keep the tire setup on at all times now and usually just drive the car on the weekends.

I also have a half mile airstrip event coming up this weekend and am tossing around the idea of keeping the wheels on the drive up there and back. The airstrip is 82mi from my house, does that seem like an excessive trip to do with the Street R's on?

Thanks!

I would be less than inclined to run 200 mile round trip on them. Too many variables to deal with and they are purpose made for the track on my setup. Swap them when you need them is my approach.

Completely depends on what you do with them. Burnouts eat them up. If you spin the tires a lot, don't expect a long life. Mine have 7k miles on them and think I could squeeze another 1k out of them. I haven't been to the strip on them and don't do burnouts. A ton of full throttle rolling hits that do occasionally result in some smoke but I usually don't make a pull unless I know I'm going to hook or at least modulate the throttle to minimize spin if I'm at a lower speed.

Thanks for the replies so far. That's how I usually utilize mine, the occasional dig or roll on the weekend but don't really do burnouts on them. I may just lean on the side of caution and throw my Nitto 555G2's on for the drive up to the airstrip event.
