I'm ready to lose my mind. lol.
For the past 2 months I have a new deep cow like moaning noise coming from my engine bay only- mostly when its cold in the am. I got a evap code po465, I changed the gas cap and the purge valve - "that alone on a hellcat is a real pain in the ###" Still the same noise, only on De- Sell or at a light then goes away. Car runs great I'm also hearing some chatter as well once in a while. I have looked hi and low on this forum, Have you heard anything new about this noise. I hope my supercharger is not going out. That's the dealer go to it seems and they replace without finding the problem. I'm plaining on change the rear evap canister next but the noise is in the front or at least it sounds like it. What are the symptoms of bad SC. Ill try to get a video. Please help

Seriously though, when idling, the blower shouldn't make hardly any noise, at all. When the bearings start to go out, they chatter, then when they're worse, they start to sound like racing bearings. It could be bad blower bearings. You do own one of the two years where this was a concern.

yep - I was looking at the videos online and my supercharger is very quiet. For now lol. The noise sounds like air or a valve or a pulley then goes right away. When it’s warm nothing. That’s why I can’t take a video. It stops as soon as I put it in park and get out. Thank for helping.

Cow like moaning, especially in the morning (i.e. cold engine) is generally associated to the power steering pump. Is the fluid still clean and filled appropriately?

Power steering pumps can do that, especially when cold.
They'll make the moaning noise and also chattering sometimes.

Check the power steering fluid level.

When it's making the noise, try turning the wheel lock to lock to
see if the noise changes.

ETA: Great minds think alike Frosty. lol

I was thinking about that as well. You guys are awesome. I just checked it’s at the line and very clear. Only 25k so I think the fluid I good. I was hoping it was low. The guys and I at my shop try to recreate it. It’s hard. I made a video. Sorry for my jacket static noise but after the rev up and the end of the video when I let off your can here the cow singing. It’s usually short but this was a long one.

Are you positive sure it's not the rear end making noise when cold? Just a thought.

good idea. The rear always hums a little.
This sound just started in jan when it was 19 degrees out. It changes pitch like song - like a arch pitch. valve / pump / vacuum leak / bearing / then gone. I had a. P0465 code. It sounds like it was coming from the purge valve area but changed that to new. Still noise. I just sprayed starter fluid all over the connections and nothing :( I’m just afraid if the dealer. It will set there forever.

So the sound is not parallel to engine RPM? It sounded like as you were slowing down the engine was idling while that sound occured?
crazy right. So I was letting off pedal almost stopped and the noise starts to Moan When I give it gas it goes away then fine. I feather comes back. Warms up goes away

Strange noise..... doesn't really sound like a power steering noise.
Hard to tell over a recording though.

Does it do it while the car is parked, or only in gear/in motion?
It only does it in gear when pedal is off or feathered. Once I give it gas or it warms up it’s gone. Or in nuetral it’s gone. Sounds like a air valve or pump or leak. Lol
