Hey all,

I may be getting ahead of myself a little since I've just put my order in today (Charger), but wonder if any of you past SRT owners have purchased the Maximum Coverage plan and if you felt it was worth it? Since this is kind of a first run car with no long-term history to compare it to, thought it might be a wise investment.

What do you think?

Are you referring to the Chrysler extended warranty, like Max Care? If so, I have purchased Max Care on every one of my vehicles in the past 15 years or so. It has paid for itself every time. I haven't discussed my options with my dealer yet (also ordered a Charger HC yesterday), but I'm sure it'll be more expensive for a hellcat. I'm definitely going to get one of the plans for the hellcat, though. I wonder if they will offer a lifetime option? That's what I bought for my Ram, and it has been awesome. I'm past the 100,000mi mandatory "checkup" for the warranty, and they still don't bat an eye when it goes in for something. Money well spent.

As for SRT vehicles specifically, I bought it on my 2006 300C SRT8 as well, but the maximum option they offered at the time was 5yr/100,000mi, and it expired a long time ago. I only used it a couple times on that vehicle, but it still paid for itself.

I was checking it out and yes, the details are still sketchy because on the pricing guide (Estimated Pricing) it still only states SRT equipped vehicles. However without any additional details it doesn't seem that Dodge counts the Hellcat as all that extraordinary. Even the viper is listed as having coverage. It's seems 4 grand is a lot, but yes for a lifetime of a $100 deductible and covering a huge expanse of replacement parts, including the supercharger, it seems like a really good investment.

This will be my daily driver but my work is only 5 miles away so I wouldn't be putting that many miles on it. I can say now that I don't plan on selling it anytime soon, but who knows what wonderful new feat of engineering will come next that will entice me to trade it in. The only issue I see is that it will definitely deter me from adding anything additional that will void the coverage.

They also have a tire/wheel road hazard for 595.
The extended include all you would expect plus loaner during service (even for oil change ) $ 1,000 trip interruption reimbursement if over 100 miles from home and $100 additional towing coverage.

I bought the lifetime Mopar warranty last week when I picked up my Hellcat and just got notice that the lifetime warranty is not available for the Hellcat so it has been cancelled.

That is a great price. I paid $2400 for the 7 year 60K plan. List I think was $3700. That was the longest one available for the Hellcat and since the dealer sold it to me a list, I thought a good deal to have full protection for 7 years. Now, I have to wait a few more days for the car to arrive bit know it will be worth it.

No. The extended warranty I got is for the engine and powertrain.

FYI, the powertrain is covered for 5 years / 100,000 miles. As noted here: 2015 Dodge Challenger - Powertrain Limited Warranty

The Estimated Pricing link listed earlier in this thread indicates a "Maximum care" extended warranty covers quite a bit more than solely powertrain. The "Added Care Plus" version covers a bit more than powertrain as well, but significantly less than the higher-priced "Maximum Care" warranty.

so I still don't see a reason to go beyond the 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain, but that is mainly b/c they have ZERO details on that on the dodge website. I assume the engine is part of the powertrain.

I didn't have a lifetime warranty option. I did get a 7 year/100,000 mile bumper to bumper though.

Double check what is actually covered and if they replace parts with genuine Mopar. You might be surprised what is NOT covered by the extended warranty.

Yes, I ordered the extended 7 years on my Hellcat. I think it was around $1,900. Money well spent for an engine of this magnitude.
