Mobil 1 0w-40 or Pennzoil Ultra 5w-40; depending on which one is cheaper at the time of purchase. Amazon has a pretty decent deal for 6 quarts of Pennzoil Ultra 5w-40 (the amount the Hellcat requires) for around $40.00-50.00.

I would have gone that route but have some gift cards to turn in to Walmart making oil and filter $27 (this will be used on the 392, however, same oil requirements as the Hellcat minus 1 quart).

Let the dealer do the first oil change, they'll send you a discount coupon

Not sure I agree with them charging 180 for an oil change.. seems like it would cost close to the same as any other car, with the extra being for the oil
Yeah, especially since it doesn't take as mch as the 392. I guess cause it has 2 drains??? The labor to unscrew 2 instead of 1... Lmao!:D

My dealer doesn't use Pennzoil Ultra and it's not that easy to find. With my SRT I buy it by the case on line and have a mechanic I've been using for years change the oil. But now with the extra steps required for the HC oil change I'm not so sure.

I think a few of us are worried about doing our self or someone other then the dealer do it... cause the first thing there going to say is it's our fault for not having it dealer serviced

I won't change myself. But I will get an estimate for the change with and without the oil and if it's cheaper, I will bring the oil with me. They will usually give me the better price when I threaten to bring my own bottles! Lol;)

Has anyone determined the best time/mileage for their first change? I have just at 1000 miles on her and have a round trip of 1800 miles coming up next week. Should I have it changed before I go or wait until I get back??
