Couldn’t find much on search bar. I’m looking into mufflers and deciding between kooks and Borla round mufflers. Anyone running these and how do you like them? Any other suggestions? I’m keeping stock resonators just want to change the mufflers for sound and weight reduction.

Just did the awe touring cat back. The sound is incredible. A little louder at idle, louder at wot and stock sound level at cruise with zero drone. It takes a lot to impress me with aftermarket junk but this is a good product and fits perfectly. Very nice exhaust note.

I don’t want to do the full catback yet since I’ll be going catless soon. Was looking into mufflers thanks, I’ve plenty of good from awe

Save your money, versus some Borla mufflers, and grab some Vibrant 1794's instead.
They're small, lightweight, and stainless and the most popular mod for the 392.....no drone either.

If you want it a hair louder than the Vibrants, but also with some rasp when WOT, then you could just grab some mini bullet mufflers instead.

The cheapest mod is the mid muffler delete, but you WILL have drone with that.

I replaced the stock mufflers with Jones Flow Packs. (They are basically Dynomax bullet knock offs)
They were cheap and sound fantastic. It sounds a hint more quiet than the mid muffler delete, but I think it sounds meaner and more aggressive.
I take my car to Midas on HWY 31, Kevin and the guys do great work

Without a tuner or some other creative initiative, your check engine light will appear if you remove the cats. I might have done this on my Redeye but after 2 months they might have reappeared. Sure it’s quieter but it actually feels faster with them on.

I got the best sound out of my 392 with stainless works catless mids, no mid mufflers with stock resonators. No check engine light because they include the o2 Sensor duds that fool it into thinking the cats are still there.
