Looks like supply chain problems have hit the Mustang and Camaro again. Just read an article this morning that Ford and Chevy have suspended production. Also suspended the CT4 and CT5. Article does say that Challenger production is currently underway.

Not going to end for a long while, COVID is heavily impacting China again, can't get people to go to work to manufacture parts, raw materials are going up in price and difficult to ship due to sanctions.

Marketing...Transformers had a major impact on the 5th Gen sales initially and then they fell off after 2-3 years. The 5th Gen was on life support when the 6th Gen came. The 6th Gen sales have also been hit hard by supply chain issues and COVID, greatly reducing the stock availability. The 6th Gen is superior in every way. The 5th Gen chassis was not all that great, it was heavy and the interior was cheap and outdated looking. The 5th Gen ZL1 couldn't compete with the Hellcat or the GT500, then the 6th Gen ZL1 came along...

Ford sold a total of 13,986 examples of the Mustang through the first three months of 2022, with the strongest month coming in January, where the Motor Company sent 5,671 new pony cars out into the world. While that total figure allowed the Mustang to lead the segment to start 2022, this marks the first time that Ford has sold less than 14,000 Mustangs in Q1 during the 11-year span in which I’ve been keeping track of American performance car sales.

In past first quarters, Ford has sold 17,274 Mustangs in 2021, 18,069 in 2020 and 16,917 in 2019, so the first three months of this year have not been good, but they certainly could have been worse.
For those wondering, these numbers do not include the Mustang Mach E SUV, which sold 2,363 units – down 10% from 2022.

It's one of the greatest bargains in the auto industry. To compete with supercars costing up to $200k for a price tag of $69k, that's a F'ing steal.
