I got a call from my salesperson today, informing me that I could not get the Laguna leather option. Apparently Dodge got too many orders for that interior. They want me to change the order to the standard interior to see if I like it. If I dont, "there are local trim shops that can do just as good a job as the factory. You can even have your company name embroidered into the seat". My reply, "but its not factory is it?"
I am going to cancel the order and get it from another dealer that will only charge me MSRP, WITH NO $3700 Richmond protection plan. Winters get cold and long in Michigan, I guess I wait for mine.

I am glad you were able to get out of that b.s. plan, but sorry you have to wait. The positive is that you can get exactly what you want and we can tell you what we like or wish we had on our Hellcats. Good luck in finding a more honest dealer

If you are looking for a Hellcat Two dealership in my area have two on order at MSRP one is Phantom Black and the other is Red let me know I will give you the info. I ended up ordering at another dealership but the sales guy sent me the info if it didn't work out with my deal.

Thanks for the offer. I reorders from another dealership today and saved $3700. Has anyone else heard anything of Chrysler pulling back on the Laguna leather upgrade. First dealership said too many people ordered the upgrade and Chrysler was canceling it for this first round. Who the heck would not anticipate that the buyers of a $60,000 vehicle would not want to load these cars???

Yep, just saw that email in another thread. Says if you want Laguna you have to wait for December production. Man, I would take a bucket for a seat if it meant they would build it already!

The supply chain for Dodge is killing them. That is what delayed the startup in the first place that and the EPA cert.

You would think that, but the perfect example would be when Japan had the earthquake and the nuclear plant was having issues it caused problems with Chryslers paint supply. Suppliers don't overstock anymore they build as needed and they often build very slow.

Well, I am probably the most impatient, but in reality I was told 10-12 weeks so they are still on track to deliver when they said they would. I just want my baby here! I never had to wait more than a day to get the car I wanted, new experience for me. I know it is totally worth it.

I received the same call today and a copy of the email that was sent to the dealer. I already agreed to drop the sun roof but am not giving in to the leather change. I am appalled that Dodge has not been prepared for the customer demand for Laguna leather. Never market something you can't provide. This is a lame excuse!!

I understand that. this is like the old days when buying a new car you would.order it and wait. I remember my parents doing that. I have had over 20 new cars in my life and they were always stocked or dealer trade. I must admit, it is quite exciting. Back to the supplier issue, most industries are using the "just in time delivery" . That should not apply here with an introduction of a new model. They had the foresight to limit production and dealer allocation, but not whether they could keep up with those allocations. Somebody is not very good at their job!
