So the wife's 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT daily driver (38K plus miles) needs pads all the way around plus new rear rotors. I have been looking at the complete kit from Power Stop that includes both front and rear rotors, pads and hardware for about $750.00. They are drilled and slotted which as everyone knows the current set up has none of this. I have heard pro's and con's about running this on the street for a DD. Does anyone have any recommendations?

It’s overkill for the street but should not cause any issues. Might make a little noise here and there, but some of the factory brembos make some noise too. I would say any sacrifices are worth the money savings over oem hardware.

Thanks for the reply. I dealer wants like $1500.00 for the rear rotors and brake pads and resurface the fronts. The rear's are warped so no resurface there...

You can usually get away with one pad swap on the front rotors in my experience. I don’t bother with resurfacing anymore. Either the rotors are still good and I throw pads on, or I replace them being aftermarket ones aren’t too bad.

But if your replacing the rear rotors that’s your call on what to do with the fronts

Slots/no slots, won't make a difference.
