I just got it 2 weeks ago......So my new heated steering wheel only works for 30 seconds or so. I did a search and found this was a issue years ago.

any new cars having this issue? dealer said drop it off they will pull the wheel and check it. car has 20 miles on it i'm like no way you're taking anything apart yet.

Had to take mine in for the throttle body...it is what it is. You would rather have a 100k car that doesn't work? I'm not big on anyone working on mine either, but I'm also not riding around with a check engine light on either.

Never used mine. Have never used the wipers either. You have at least a 3 year warranty let it ride a while. With only 20 miles on the car you will eventually have to take in for some type of service. Have fun with your new car and enjoy!

I dont understand the thinking here. Pulling the wheel off is hardly taking your car apart. It isnt open heart surgery. Want it fixed or not?

I do but pulling the car apart looking for a short should not have been the first answer. Maybe putting the scanner on it and see if the BCM is shutting it off while i was there..... Soon as my snap on scanner gets its next update ill look at it myself.

Me posting on here was just to see if this was common again since the software issue back in 2016.

Works great on my 16, never had any problems. Gets too hot like others said. Comes on automatically when cold out. Used it today, It was a balmy 32 degrees out!

First world problem for sure. Just wear gloves until your car is heated up. My wheel gets so hot I have to turn it off shortly after it heats up.
What is this new fad of presumedly having a Hellcat that you paid for, being on a Hellcat forum, chatting with another Hellcat owner that has a problem, then acting like you are so above irritation with a problem on a $60k-100k car?

If it's cold enough out that I need my heated wheel in the super stock, it's too cold to be driving on the tires anyway. Doubt I'll ever know if mine works
I’m out till the white stuff makes it’s permanent appearance..driving it can end anytime between now and the 2nd week of December

If there was something easy to remove/fix.....the steering wheel is probably it.
The airbag pops right out, unhook a couple harnesses to remove the airbag, remove the giant bolt holding it on & then they (hopefully) replace it.
VERY noninvasive
