Yoo HC community.. So I just took delivery of my Charger HC WB Redeye yesterday October 2nd had 24 miles on it today I’m at 150.. quick run down since leaving dealership I had a few good pulls top speed @112 mph n sport mode red key.

To get to the point I have witnessed 3-4 times so far a delayed start. Later the night of day 1 with the car remote start red key. Then day 2 today October 3rd at least 3 times a slight delay only after car been off 1 hr or more. It’s kinda embarrassing bekuz remote start redkey n parking lot n it lagging like that sounds crazy or to family n I think it’s still in that break in phase potentially the reason home for the night I’m at 170ish. Wanna kno if anyone has experienced this and or did it go away catch up with the system let me kno community!!

I’m look at it today this morning no issues on cold start. I do figure that’s probably it since it’s a new car fuel system still breaking in the ignition to computer to turn over

Yes... try holding the start button down for a full 2 + seconds to interrupt the start cycle and stop the starter.

OP is this a hot re-start with remote or does it have a problem with each remote start?

This happened often in my 2019 Charger Hellcat. It would stay stuck trying to turn over until I hit the brake and start button several times until it eventually started. Very embarrassing. Eventually the car went into limp mode on the highway. That went away after a restart.

I took it to the dealership and they reset everything. The problem mostly went away, especially after I started pressing the start button twice to get the car electronics/fuel pump going before starting it. Hellcats don’t like being started off the rip. I’m doing the two button press with my Redeye to hopefully avoid future problems.

Yes... try holding the start button down for a full 2 + seconds to interrupt the start cycle and stop the starter.

I did with no luck. Starter spun without engaging no matter how long I pressed and held the starter button. I just got off the phone with my dealers service manager. He thinks it’s a bad solenoid and wants to check out the starter. I will post up if they find anything.

Would agree then to check out the starter solenoid...

My 21 redeye does this quite regularly .... but always starts, eventually.

Well recently it’s been turning over fine now that I’m getting more miles on it I’m at like now 350 definitely not as much in the early miles

What fuse do you pull to stop the starter from continually trying to start the car, as pressing the red start button does nothing.

Both my occurrences were warm starts as well.
