New Battery Big Difference

My 2019 Florida cat is 3 years old. I have been putting it on a tender (CTEK 7002) once a week since I don't drive much and it takes about 6 hours to reach full charge. It has been sluggish starting for a while but over the past month more noticeably.

The other day I went to get gas and when I pressed the button to restart it did not start. Instead the starter just ran for 10 seconds which never happened before. I then tried a restart and it started just barely.

So I immediately thought of the battery and ended up buying a die hard agm battery more powerful than stock.

Die Hard Platinum AGM Battery, Group Size H7, 850 CCA

This is a direct replacement vented battery. Install took 30 minutes. Change was immediate and car now starts strong. Batteries don't last long in Florida.

If you have an AGM and use a battery tender, is it true that the tender MUST be AGM compatible?
There is a button on the CTEK for AGM if I remember correctly.
