I hope so... then SRT will have to think up some way to top the Crapmaro with Hellcat 2.0!

Should be easy enough I would think! Hellcat has raised the bar for all of the auto manufacturers, they had better step up!

I for one won't feel bad when something more powerful comes out and someone tries to make fun of me for "only having 707hp"

GM will not try to out HP the Hellcat. The Z is at 650. 57 shy of the Hellcat. Ford will be the ones to do it with the next GT500. I'm guessing forced induction VooDoo making around 720HP - 750HP.

I think we're at a point were the big three are going to have issues with emissions,, I'm assuming the camaro will have the same issue..

dodge dose not play by the books. GM Gave up the power race and never went after the Shelby. So I don't think that the hellcat is even on there minds.

Maybe they're going to v6 twin turbo... but I won't give up on Ford,, there cooking something... either way , hellcat is best bang for the buck

The key thing about the Camaro is new chassis and lighter weight (likely under 4,000lbs). It has been their target goal all along.

It'll likely share the same 6.2L 640hp/630tq 2016 CTS-V engine or tuned up similar to the 650hp/650tq Z06 engine. The beneficial factor over the Hellcat is Active Fuel Management and also its Achilles heal toward more power. SRT looked at the option of Active Fuel Management during the Hellcat development, however, there were not much savings to be had given their target output.

Another thing, I don't think it will be speed limited by electronics anymore.

The Vette will always be the big dog in the GM family. The Vette guys would rip their toupees off and throw them to the ground in disgust if GM put out a stronger Camaro. Can't see it happening unless they give it to an aftermarket company to play with.
