When I took my Challenger HC in to the dealer for repair after an attempted theft, they said there was a nationwide backorder on glass for both Challengers and Chargers. He said half of his back lot was full of theft recoveries and most of them need glass. I got lucky though when he said they had the one I needed in stock. That was mid July.
Maybe if Dodge has a shortage on glass for these cars, they are using other than their normal glass vendors to fill the backlog.
Dunno really, just a guess. But I certainly agree that an obvious defect like that should be replaced under warranty.
ETA: Does it look normal when you are running less than warp speed?
Hopefully they fix it for you.
