Recently purchased an aftermarket clutch for my 2016 hellcat as the old clutch went out. The same day I got the car back I could immediately smell burnt clutch and hear a raspy metallic noise at idle and low rpm’s. On my way home from work the same day while driving in 6th I heard and felt a faint popping noise and lost all gears except 4th. Shop claims it’s a transmission issue but I’d love some advice or direction on how to approach this situation!!

My hunch? The installing shop “test drove” the car and broke the clutch in for you (improperly) and broke the trans in the process (cracked a gear that let loose soon after taking out the trans too)

Did you happen to take a odometer reading when you dropped it off at the shop and one upon pick up? To know if the car was “test driven” without your consent?
