Hopefully not just an ICE version of the existing Charger or they are going to get laughed off stage because everyone already knows that’s
Get ready for the laughter then.

I think it’ll be this car that I posted about months ago here.

I think it’ll be a V8 and I think it’ll be named Cuda/Barracuda.

Whether or not it’s a new car or a trim line for the charger idk. I’d guess Charger trim but this is all an educated guess anyway.

I couldn’t care less what they call it. If it’s a V8 RWD CAR I’ll be so happy 🤣

They haven't had time or money to develop a whole new platform. My bet is it will be on the same platform as the current EV Charger. Gotta raid the parts bin and make use of the current tooling--and will probably have a bunch of sticker packages for the marketing department to feel useful.

Have you sat in a current Charger? I have. Absolutely awful compared to your car. Be careful what you wish for.

It’s possible with the TTI6 but I seriously doubt it with the Hellcat. The iron block Hellcat engine is something like 850lbs fully dressed. The car was just made way too big so it could carry all the batteries it was going to need. Now as an ICE vehicle it’s massive and really heavy.

The EV is right at 6000lbs. Let’s take the 1500lb battery pack out and say another 500 in EV stuff which is probably an over estimate .

Now we are starting with a 4000lb roller. The Hellcat engine and transmission is right at 1000lbs so we’re back to 5000lbs and haven’t added a differential, trans coolers, radiators and extra fluids. Either way I can’t see it being under 5000lbs which is a bummer.

@Parshooter Yes, and saw it at the Philly car show. It was terrible, but when the Chargers came out with 4 doors, everyone wanted 2.
I saw this.
(note, that's a gas powered Charger here with what looks to be a Scat Pack emblem, I'm pretty sure MT jumped the gun posting this pic, we weren't supposed to see this just yet. Might even be Hemi powered, considering the i6 version was known to be named 'Outlaw'?)
