Greetings from a GM guy (y). I am researching the idea of getting a Hellcat Charger ordered as soon as the 2022 information is released. I do wish AWD was possible, but that is not likely to happen until the new chassis if at all. And that will likely be 2024 and Hybrid/electric. Now, I have no problem with hybrid or electric.....but it is not feasible right now. I am hoping there are good traction mods available, because that is the only thing that keeps these cars from running all over everything else on the street.

I currently own:
2010 Silverado 1500 Z71. Cam, no vvt and no dod, 3.73 gears and Tru Trac in the rear.
2008 Suzuki Bandit 1250. Lots of mods...Hayabusa suspension front and rear.
2018 KTM 1290 Super Duke R. WOW, this thing is nuts. Power Commander and exhaust.

Probably getting rid of the truck when I get the Hellcat. My fiancé wants to trade her micro suv (garbage) on a 2022 Nissan Frontier for some light rv-ing. That looks promising.

Where at in N. Florida?
I'm from Jax, but currently working overseas. I have a 16 Scatpack, but will be picking up my RE Charger from Jake @ Cummings when I come home on vacation next week!

If one is truly dedicated to traction, some careful bodywork on the inside fender well plus some Little Devil flares installed (over thick local PPF is advised) can give you a LOT more tire contact patch options. Without the resale-threatening fender well beating, er, reshaping, the flares alone are the ticket.

BTW, did you know that people who drive Lamborghini AWD cars often get them converted to RWD only, at great expense, because they are more fun to drive that way?

Think of that. They ARE rear-mid-engine cars, however...

That is what I like about the AMG E63s and BMW M5s you can make it RWD only. But those are $50k more just to start with. And your Lambo argument is meaningless here since I will never have the bank account to even THINK about that market.

The car was not the point. The POINT was that owners of multi-hundred-thousand-dollar cars with GREAT AWD systems are changing them to RWD. You are missing nothing but acceleration in the rain, which you do exactly how often?

I can understand that, I was just saying that anything on that scale money-wise (base vehicle OR modifying it) I am not interested in. I do love that you get to pick AWD or RWD in the German cars.

It means a lot more to me than rain....especially with this much power. These cars can't accelerate in a straight line in the DRY without blowing the tires off WITH traction and launch control. Powering out of corners and straight line acceleration is where I am focused. I personally like the idea of AWD.
