I inspected my timing chain guide back when the TSB 1st released and it is activated. The thing I don't understand is how can they be improperly installed? The guides work on oil pressure and there's one on both sides of the engine, but you can only inspect one guide on the passenger side through the oil fill neck. I've read a few examples where owners do not see the guide activated and then turn the car over and recheck to see the guide then fully activated. Makes you wonder.....
