Hello my name is krys I recently had two charger scat packs a 2019 then had to have the widebody traded it for a 21 charger widebody scat. The widebody was totaled by a drunk driver with 2000 miles on it. I ordered a 21 hellcat charger widebody to replace it. That's why I'm here at the Hellcat forum yay. Not sure if this is the right place to ask but as my daily driver I was looking at nitto nt555r2. Would I need to upgrade the driveshaft or diff brace? Are they good daily drag tires? Thanks.

Those mods will more than likely void your Warranty. There are other threads discussing voided Warranty due to mods.

Wow drag tires alone will void it? Or the drive shift and diff brace? I definitely do not want to void the warranty but would like to use the power effectively.
Welcome!

We are sorry to hear about your totaled Charger, we are glad you were okay though. Perfect reason to buy a Hellcat, we look forward to seeing pictures. :)

Welcome aboard Krys! The ship will eventually come in with our cars. I also have a new diff brace sitting in the garage waiting for my Charger WB RE and was wondering if that would void the warranty. Its not that bad to remove I guess if something happened.
I was also wondering if our differentials are the same as the hellcat or upgraded for the RE.

Thanks my local dealer said a diff brace is not a problem. I actually have the overshadowed regular hellcat 21 widebody lol. About 175 a month cheaper when it's said and done. The only reason why I didn't go redeye. For 21 the regular gellcat gets the redeye hood and 717 hp. A dodge mechanic told me that for 21 the scat packs had an upgraded differential but same part number and they didn't tell anyone. Deeper gear groves and thicker. Not sure if that made it to the hellcat. I would think with all the repairs From broken parts from 2015 up they should be at top reliability by now.

Driveshaft and brace.
Your dealer may overlook a brace and not tell FCA about it so you may be ok but they will def void the warranty if they find out.

Welcome and congrats on the WB HC Charger. No you don't need to upgrade the driveshaft or get a diff brace with these tires.
Upgrades on those would void warranty if you want to retain it. Upgrade in tires don't void warranty so your good there. I have the same tires in the rear with 20x10.5 replicas and have my factory warranty still.

These tires are good daily drag tires. They seem to still have plenty of tread left on mine after a few thousand miles and some track days. I have been through many rainy days with them and they handle the wet good.

Although personally for me they could be a little better traction wise but no doubt better than the stock tires so they are pretty well rounded for traction, wet, and dailying for longevity.

Cool do you think there is a better option for a daily drag. I'll compromise less traction for more practicality. I know some drags are a no no in the rain. This is my main car I have the old yukon in case it snows. I don't want to have to put her up if it rains tho. I paid a hell of a lot for this car I want to drive it. Plus it's better than my 05 yukon even driving slow lol.

I don’t think there is a better well rounded option for a daily drag tire like a Nitto. There are other drag tires that will hook better but in turn you sacrifice longevity, and how it handles the rain and other weather seasons. If you want to compromise less traction for more practicality and a lot more longevity then you can look into either Continental Extreme Contact Sport or Michelin PS4S summer performance tires. With these tires, I have heard will still hook your Cat pretty decently so it’s not like your sacrificing traction to the point your spinning as bad as the stock Pirellis.

For reference I have a family member who has the Conti ECS tires on her stock 430 HP C6 vette and can dead hook from a dig although a lot less power than the Cat but I have a buddy who has Contis on his stock Cat and can hook a 50 roll. With a drag tire you would hook lower than that but obviously the Conti’s or even the PS4S tires will be superior as far as practicality and longevity. Those are the top two tires I can think of that will seem to suit you best for what you’re looking for.

If you plan on tracking your car have a spare set of track wheels and drag tires for the track and either of those two summer performance tires I mentioned as your main daily driving tire. .

Sounds like a plan. The only thing in Philadelphia it will get cold in the winter. So I will have to swap summer tires out probably to prevent cracking etc. At this point it's either swap them out in the winter or just settle with either the stock pzeros or michelin ps all season4.
