Hello all and thanks for the forum! I’m excited to learn as much as possible about our cars here! I traded in my 2018 Kia Stinger GT for a 2015 B5 manual hc with black Laguna leather! I’m so excited to finally own this beast! My wife has a pro-charged 2020 SRT Durango making 620 hp to the tire and 640 ft lbs. so not new to dodge muscle just new to the hellcat experience!!

And Burlington is the Mecca!

Funny how they like the long, cold winters!

If Michigan had the Vermont mountains it would be the best place on earth! East Coast skiing only trumps out west because you don't have the altitude. The altitude doesn't really bother me save for some trouble sleeping and the occasional headache. You just don't get that out east. The problem with east coast is the mountains turn into ice balls, which growing up a Michigan skier I don't have a problem with ice. Wait, wat were we talking about again?

It's a tradeoff, you can't beat western snow, but it is not only the altitude, it's a fly to destination. Here you drive 2-3 hours and you are in the heart of ski country.

Lived in CHI for a while, we drove to a ski area in MI, went straight to the ski area to see it before sunset. When we got there, there was the lodge, but no "mountain". Upon closer examination, the lodge was at the top and you skied down a hill on the other side. I understand your situation.

Michigan "mountains" have maybe 500ft vertical drop...my local skill hills have around 350ft drop. However with that being said it makes for some great skiing, its just the runs last 35secs instead of several minutes. This is the first year in many I didn't buy an Epic pass. Years past I would make generally 4 CO trips a year. This year I only have 1 trip planned so its cheaper just to buy lift tickets.
